The Team Approach

We favor the team approach to nursing care, combining the skills of our own caring staff with the regular support and advice of contracted therapists (including physical, occupational and speech). Dentists, podiatrists, and optometrists are also available as needed.

Our nurses offer an exceptional combination of skill and genuine compassion. With a staffing level above what the Department of Health requires, The Shook Home provides peace of mind to residents and their families.

Our Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses provide skilled services that can be performed safely and effectively only by professional personnel. We work closely with the resident's physician to develop a comprehensive plan of care that is focused on achieving the highest practicable outcomes for the resident.
